ISLAMABAD: Former ambassador of Pakistan, Mushtaq Mahar appreciated the joint communiqu of Pakistan and India agreed between the foreign ministers of both countries.
Talking to a private news channel on Thursday, he praised Indian Prime Minister's acceptance of Pakistan's invitation and said the possible visit of Dr. Manmohan Singh could change the atmosphere of this region.
He said India demonstrated some flexibility on certain issues, which is a good sign in order to improve bilateral relations between two countries.
As a result of Pak-India talks, he said conducive atmosphere emerged on the surface and an aggressive approach is required to resolve major issues.
Replying to a question, he said Pakistan and India are engaged in composite dialogue since 1996. Therefore, both the countries should now focus on the solutions of major disputes including Jammu and Kashmir, water issue, etc.
