SUKKUR: Three convicts Shahid, Hanif, Talha and Khalil were executed in Central Prisons here on Tuesday.
Jail Superintendent Shahid Hussain Chhajro confirmed that the hangings took place early morning amid tight security. All three terrorists belonged to a banned outfit.
According to Jail authorities, they were hanged at 6.30 am. They were convicted for assassinating Syed Zaffar Ali Shah in 2003, who was at the time working as a senior official in Pakistan defence ministry. Families of all three convicted were allowed to meet the convicts for the last time.
