sardar-latif-khosa-khanLAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khan Khosa on Sunday said that issue of Swiss cases had been resolved after clear verdict of the Accountability court in the SGS case.

Addressing a press conference at the governor's house, he said that it has been proved that all cases against the leadership of the PPP were fake and stressed law-makers for legislation against those people who accuse someone before the judgment of the courts.

Citing the judgment of the court, he said that it was written in the decision that no evidence of depositing money in Swiss accounts had been found against Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and President Asif Ali Zardari.

He said that who would be responsible for the period of 14 years that was wasted in the case and levelling wrong allegations against the leadership of the largest party of the country. He said the PPP wanted to eradicate the politics of confrontation and hatred in the country and urged that problems of the masses should be resolved.

"All parties should come forward and support the government for resolving the issues of the people," he added.

He said, "let us fight against illiteracy, unemployment and inflation". The governor said that continuity of the democracy was very important for the country and demanded that all people should talk in polite language.

To a question, he said that Supreme Court had accepted the privilege of the prime minister.

To another question about the statement of Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab, he said that there was no need of war in the presence of assemblies and the parliament and suggested that inflammatory statements should be avoided as they cause desperation in the society.

He said the PPP did not believe in the politics of revenge and urged Mian Nawaz Sharif to act upon the charter of democracy in accordance with its letter and spirit.

Answering a question about the courts, he said the PPP respected the judiciary and no one should consider it as the weakness of the party.

"Judiciary is one of the pillars of the state and we will strengthen it," he added.

Responding to a question about Imran Khan's statement against President Zardari, he said that Imran was immature in the field of politics, adding that accusing someone on baseless things was a sin in Islam.
