ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khwaja Asif Monday said Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan was running the affairs of his party and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital like a dictator.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament House, he said a PTI candidate had leveled baseless allegations of election rigging against him (Asif), which he could not prove and the court imposed Rs 30,000 fine on him.
He said the PTI's sit-ins had badly damaged the country's economy. Imran Khan, he said, had invested Rs 350 million in France and Muscat (Oman). It would have been better that this amount was invested in the country, he added.
Khawaj Asif said he would soon present the facts regarding Imran's investment abroad before the court and media. He said the close companions of Imran Khan, who used to stand on his right side at the container during the sit-in, were in contact with the PML-N.
Their names, he said, were being kept confidential on their request and would be made public at the right time.
He said the PTI chief kept on changing his stances on different issues.
He (Imran) was given life imprisonment during the campaign for restoration of judiciary, but he tendered apology within a week and was released, he added.
Responding to a question, Khwaja Asif said, "We are long lasting companions of Nawaz Sharif and our relation is beyond doubt and suspicion."
To another query, he said power load-shedding would be overcome in next three years.
The areas, where bills were not being paid, were facing more load-shedding.
He said some 10.5 million people had cast vote for the PML-N in 2013 general election and its government's constitutional tenure would end in 2018.
