LARKANA: The Judge, Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Larkana Muhammad Riaz Rajput on Wednesday awarded life imprisonment to 11 accused and imposed a fine Rs 0.1 million each in the case in which murder of three policemen was proved against the accused.
Those convicted include allegedly notorious dacoit Wishun Chandio alias Malooq, Manzoor Luhar, Sahib alias Sabu Luhar, Ali Jan Malgani, Kifayatullah Chandio, Rashid Rind, Qurban Nooryani Chandio, Murtaza Chandio, Mahram Khoso, Shero Gurhamani Chandio, Liaqat Kambrani Chandio. They were found guilty of murder of three policemen including SHO Khabri Police Station, district Kamber-Shahdadkot Abdul Khaliq Bozdar, HC Ghous Bux Joyo, PC Muhammad Juman Rahar.
Three other accused who were also arrested were acquitted by the Court for non- proving of case against them and failure in their identification.
The life sentence was pronounced by the court of Muhammad Riaz Rajput.
Those acquitted by the court include Rahib Chandio, Sadam Hussain and Mehar Chandio.
The case was registered at Behram Police Station under Sections 365-A and 302 of Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7 of the Anti-terrorism Act.
