ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's designated Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Ambassador, Dr. Maliha Lodhi called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the PM House here Friday.
The Prime Minister wished Dr Lodhi goodluck for her new assignment and said it was important to remove misperceptions about Pakistan on a range of issues at international forum, a PM's Office press release said.
The Prime Minister said on the 70th anniversary year of the founding of the United Nations, it was important that Pakistan's voice was heard in the many events taking place during the year.
Dr. Lodhi thanked the government for reposing confidence in her for the important assignment.
She assured the Prime Minister of trying her best to live up to the challenge of protecting Pakistan's interest and projecting its principle stand on important matters.
