KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's December factory output likely rose 4.3 percent from a year earlier, a Reuters poll showed, as sliding commodity prices may have slowed production.
Output in November was 4.7 percent, aided by the manufacturing, mining and electricity sectors.
December exports came in at 2.7 percent, beating expectations, while the trade surplus for the month was at 9.2 billion ringgit ($2.6 billion), slightly narrower than the 11.13 billion ringgit recorded in November.
