Pakistan’s emerging star Sohaib Maqsood wants to do what Inzamam did in the World cup 1992. He wants to set up his game, just like his fellow Multan native Inzamam-ul-Haq did by becoming the cornerstone for the World cup 1992.
Sohaib Maqsood played pretty well on Monday by scoring unbeaten 93 against Bangladesh in warm-up match and helped out Pakistan to score more.
Being a big fan of former Pakistani captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, he still follow his footsteps. The victory in the World Cup 1992 inspires him to do wonders during his game.
Maqsood said in an interview to a foreign media, “Inzamam was a great player, an icon in Pakistan and it’s my desire to do what he did in his career, especially in the 1992 World Cup”.
India will face Pakistan on February 15, 2015 on Sunday and as everyone says it will be final before final. Both the teams will play their opening match against each other at Adelaide Oval.
Sohaib Maqsood feels the same and thinks that winning the opening match will prove to be a good start for Pakistan as it will be a crucial game.
He said, “My goal is clear and that is to win matches for Pakistan and for that I am doing extra hard work. We are working on playing more back-foot shots as we are used to playing front-foot shots in our part of the world,” local media reported.
