PCB chairman Shahryar Khan is hopeful that Pakistan will prove itself in an upcoming World Cup 2015. Pakistan will face its biggest rival in the opening match to be held on February 15, 2015 at Adelaide, Oval. Chairman PCB not only want Pakistan to win against India in its pool Match but also want the players to go for the World Cup title.
He wants the players to play good and fight for the title. According to local media reports, he said, “We want the team to win the World Cup and then we will reward the team, not just only on beating India.”
He hopes that there is no more injury in the Pakistan squad but if it happens then they have Saeed Ajmal in back-up. “We hope there are no more injuries, but if the occasion requires we have Saeed Ajmal available,” he added.
Players are enthusiastic and cricket fans are looking forward for their respective teams to win the World Cup and bring trophy back to their homeland. After 23 years the World Cup will be hosted by New Zealand and Australia. It will start on February 14, 2015 and the tournament will come to an end on March 29, 2015.
