MULTAN: Police claimed on Thursday to have arrested 45 criminals including 34 proclaimed offenders during a drive against anti-social elements across the district.
According to police, police conducted raids at various locations and arrested 34 proclaimed offenders who were wanted by police in different cases of dacoity, robbery, theft and other crimes.
Police have also apprehended 8 drug peddlers and 2 illegal weapon holders and recovered 30 litre liquor, 915 gram hashish, 1 riffle, 1 pistol and 12 bullets from their possession.
Police have also arrested an extortionist and recovered Rs 50,000 extorted money from him, police added.
