ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Kahawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday said the decision to give equal right of vote to every Member from FATA in Senate elections was a goof decision.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House the minister said that few members of National Assembly from FATA had made a cartel that has been broken with promulgation of the Presidential ordinance.
He said the government had taken all possible measures for preventing horse trading in Senate elections adding "we succeded in this effort".
He said that if Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had supported the government in the 22nd constitutional amendment, horse trading could have been prevented.
The minister said there are no reports of horse trading or foul play in
Punjab and Sindh for Senate election. He said that PML-N had welcomed seat adjustment of PPP and MQM in Sindh for the election.
He said that PML-N would get 11 seats from Punjab and five from Balochistan.
