Karachi RainKARACHI: Weather in Karachi turned pleasant on Thursday after showers fell on Wednesday night accompanying power outages in most parts of the city.

According to the Meteorological Department the rain spell is expected to last during the next 24 hours.

Until last reports, most parts of the city that plunged into darkness were still without power supply.

The areas facing power outages included Al-Noor Society, Kharadar, Abul Hassan Isphahani Road, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Federal B Area, Landhi, Korangi, Gulshan e Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Sir Syed Town, Malir Cantonment, Gulshan-e- Maymar, Askari Phase IV, Naval Colony, etc.

According to the spokesperson of the KESC different areas of the metropolis were facing feeder-tripping problems following the monsoon rain.

He said that the KESC teams were working on an emergency basis to restore the power supply in the areas.
