ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Judo team is unlikely to participate in the Judo Grand Prix-Olympic Training Camp scheduled to be held at Samsun, Turkey from March 24-30.
Talking to APP, a Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) official said the players are unlikely to chip in the said event due to the non issuance of visas at the moment. "The visas got delayed as the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) wanted to send one of their official's with the team to observe the players," he said.
The official said to get visa for the IPC official in such short-time was difficult therefore the PJF has instead decided to send the players in the Asian Judo Championship to be staged in Kuwait from May 9 to 16.
The team was to depart to Turkey on 23 March but now it is doubtful that the team will go there.
