HANOI: Vietnam's State Treasury raised 500 billion dong ($24.02 million) worth of government bonds, a quarter of its offer, at an auction on Thursday with a slightly higher coupon, the Hanoi Stock Exchange said.
At the weekly debt sales with 2 trillion dong on offer, the treasury sold 200 billion dong of three-year bond at a coupon of 12.4 percent, and 300 billion dong of five-year debt at a coupon of 12.50 percent, the exchange said in a statement late on Thursday.
In the last auction on Aug. 4, the State Treasury sold 150 billion dong of three-year and five-year debt at coupons ranging from 12.39 percent to 12.5 percent.
