ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will be participating in the Four Nation Hockey Tournament and will also visit South Korea for a bilateral series in mid of this year in order to boost the team to prepare for the Olympic qualification round.
Talking to APP, a Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) official the Four Nation Hockey Tournament will be staged in Australia from May 2 to 11 while the team will visit South Korea for a bilateral series after the Australia event.
"These events will help the team to prepare for the Olympic qualification round staring from June 20," he said adding national hockey team's training camp is underway here at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium.
He said the most important tournament is the Hockey World League in June that will serve as qualifiers for the 2016 Olympics. "We will hold trials for the Four Nation Hockey Tournament which will feature five teams including Pakistan, South Korea, New Zealand and two teams from Australia," he said.
