Pakistan’s upcoming romantic comedy movie ‘Karachi se Lahore’ directed by Wajahat Rauf will hit theatres on July 31, 2015.The makers have made sure to include everything to make it big. Two official posters of the film have also been released. A 15-second teaser of ‘Karachi Se Lahore’ is creating quite a buzz on social media.
According to local media reports, “Karachi se Lahore is a romantic comedy, a home-grown Pakistani road trip movie about a group of five people travelling from Karachi to Lahore for a specific purpose," Wajahat reveals. “They go through this roller-coaster journey to get to their destination and end up finding themselves in the process”, he added.
The cast of the movie includes Javed Sheikh, Ayesha Omar, Rashid Naz, Shehzad Sheikh, Yasir Hussain, Eshita Syed, Ahmed Ali, Aashir Wajahat and Mantahaa Tareen Maqsood. The movie has been written by its lead actor Yasir Hussain and is directed and produced by Wajahat Rauf.
The movie of a road trip is currently being shot in different parts of Pakistan, including Karachi, Hyderabad, and some parts of Balochistan, Lahore and Jhelum. As per local media reports, Wajahat hopes to release the film in time of Eid ul Fitr this year.
