PRAGUE: There is no reason for the Czech central bank to tighten monetary policy at the moment and risks are more likely on the anti-inflationary side, Vice-Governor Mojmir Hampl was quoted on Tuesday as saying.
In an interview with Hospodarske Noviny, Hampl also said development on financial markets and the external environment were important factors in inflation development.
"There is potentially lower demand, lower economic growth and now maybe also lower price growth of commodities," he was quoted as saying.
"It would be difficult to find reasons now for tightening Czech monetary policy."
