imageBAHAWALPUR: Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park has started producing 100 Mega Watt (MW) electricity out of total 1000 MW in collaboration of Punjab and Chinese Government.

According to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Quaid-e-Azam Solar Energy Park Najam Shah the first phase of 100 MW electricity production has been completed with a cost of Rs.15 billion.

Second phase of the park will comprise 900 MW which will be completed with the help of Chinese Government.

He said that production of 300 MW will be completed this year while production of 600 MW will start from next year.

Total area of 10,000 acres has been allocated for the park, he added.
