ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) central leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday said that he wanted to go into electoral field but leadership decided to go the Supreme Court (SC) and they would fight the case on merit.
"We will fight the case on merit and we are certain we will get justice," said Rafique while speaking to media after the hearing of the case. "It was highly painful for me to be accused of dishonesty," he added.
Rafique said, "Imran Khan has targeted him and he wanted to fight ON electoral ground but leadership and legal experts decided to knock door of the court." He said that allegation of dishonesty was truly painful and he was disappointed over the verdict as it should be elaborated.
He expressed hapiness over SC decision and said that SC acquitted him and Mian Naseer in all cases after issuing notice to ECP secretary.
"I am hopeful that if we have not done anything wrong, then the truth will become evident," the PML-N leader further said.
