KARACHI: Karachi violence has claimed around 33 lives in two days as 22 more people were killed from firing since midnight Thursday.
On Wednesday, a former MNA and PPP leader Waja Ahmed Kareem Dad and 15 others were gunned down in different incidents of violence in the city.
According to police, three bullet-riddled bodies were found in Sector 19 of Baldia town. The deceased were kidnapped, tortured and shot, police said.
In another incident in the same area, unidentified armed men killed a man and injured four others. Sporadic firing is continuing in Baldia town No.4 area. Armed men also opened fire at a police station.
A body of an unidentified person was also recovered from Manghopir, while two bodies were recovered from the Garden area.
Four tortured bodies, stuffed in gunny bags were found from Lyari, and four others were recovered from the Shershah area.
