THE HAGUE: The Netherland's seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate jumped three tenths of a point to 5.3 percent in July, the CBS national statistics office said on Thursday.
The number of unemployed rose by 22,000 to pass the 400,000-barrier for the first time in 2011 to stand at 413,000 in July.
The unemployment rate was down from the 5.5 percent recorded in July 2010, however.
