MILAN: Italian stocks plunged by more than 3.0 percent on Thursday, mirroring sharp drops on other European exchanges, with Italy's industrial powerhouse Fiat leading the fall.
The FTSE Mib index in Milan was down 3.04 percent at 15,467 points after opening more than 1.0 percent higher. Auto giant Fiat's shares were down more than 7.0 percent.
