PM orders strict action against criminals
ISLAMABAD: Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad held a one on one meeting with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani after which the prime minister ordered strict action against criminals behind the violence in Karachi.
According to an official statement, the governor apprised the prime minister about the situation in Karachi.
The prime minister gave instructions for an immediate and across the board action against the criminals who were playing with the peace of the metropolis. “Show no leniency to these elements that are there to ruin the city life”, the Prime Minister said.
Gilani also spoke to the Sindh Chief Minister directing him to immediately hold a meeting of the provincial administration and take action against the criminals to bring them to justice. The Prime Minister also directed the IG Sindh to spare no effort in apprehending the killers.
The prime minister also directed the Interior Minister, Rehman Malik to immediately go to Karachi to control the situation.
The MQM Chief Altaf Hussain also spoke to the prime minister and expressed his concern over the situation in Karachi.
Dr Farooq Sattar, Deputy Convener MQM, spoke to the prime minister and briefed him about the law and order situation in Karachi.
Gilani expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in Karachi violence.
