ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday notified to hold by-election in Punjab Assembly constituency PP-100 Gujranwala-X on July 26, 2015. This seat had fallen vacant after death of member Punjab Assembly Shamshad Ahmed Khan.
According to the schedule issued by the Commission, public notice by Returning Officer will be issued on June 16 as date for filing of nomination papers has been set for June 23 and June 24, 2015.
Dates for scrutiny of nomination papers have been set for June 26 and June 27 while last date for filing of appeals against decision of Returning Officer regarding acceptance or rejection of nomination papers will be June 29, 2015.
Last date for decision by Election Tribunals on appeals will be July 02 while the date for withdrawal of candidature has been set for July 03, 2015.
Publication of revised list of candidates will be made on July 04 while polling in this constituency will be held on July 26, 2015.
Meanwhile, the ECP has also appointed Regional Election Commissioner, Gujranwala as District Returning Officer, District Election Commissioner Gujranwala as Returning Officer and Assistant Commissioner Kamoki and Deputy District Education Officer Elementary (Male) Kamoki as Assistant Returning Officers.
