Former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam who came to be known as ‘People’s President’ died on Monday after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest during a lecture. He was confirmed dead more than two hours after he was wheeled into the ICU in a critical condition.
The 83-year-old Kalam, who was an Indian president from 2002 to 2007, was affectionately called the ‘missile man’. He was in Shillong to deliver a lecture titled ‘Liveable Planet Earth’ according to his last tweet.
B-town celebrities mourn death of their former President and one of the influential personalities of India. They took to Social networking site Twitter to remember Kalam.
