ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar on Monday informed National Assembly that the ruling PML-N would oppose motions to de-seat members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from the house.
Speaking in the House, he said, "If MQM and JUI-F did not withdraw their motions to de-seat member of Pakistan Tehree-e- Insaf - than the Pakistan Muslim League N would vote against the motion."
"If voting is held on Tuesday on the motions, the PML-N would appose," he added.
He appealed to both JUI-(F) and MQM to withdraw their motions as requested by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Ishaq Dar recalled that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had also invited the parliamentary leaders last Wednesday to discuss motions moved by MQM and JUI-F to de-seat members of PTI.
However, he expressed the hope that JUI-F being an ally of the PML-N would withdraw the motion.
The Minister also asked MQM leadership to withdraw the motion to de-seat the members of the PTI.
He urged all the political forces to join hands for addressing national issues and to set the course for progress, prosperity and development.
The Minister also asked the political parties to work for bringing in electoral reform.
Arif Alvi, Ijaz Jakrani, Dr GG Jamal and Sher Akbar Khan appreciated the spirit of government. Arif Alvi said that, "we appreciate the spirit of the government".
Ijaz Jakarani appealed the MQM and JUI-F to withdraw their motions. He said the PPP would also vote against the motion if it is tabled in the National Assembly on Tuesday for voting.
