SEOUL: The South Korean won was almost steady against the dollar early on Friday as traders awaited Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's key speech on the US central bank's policy direction and its impact on global markets.
The won was quoted at 1,086.8 per dollar at 0015 GMT, compared to 1,086.4 at the end of local trade on Thursday.
September futures on three-year treasury bonds stood at 104.29 at 0015 GMT, up 0.01 points on the day.
