imageLAHORE: A spokesman of Provincial Disaster Managment Authority (PDMA) Punjab has said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, 45 more trucks carrying relief items were being sent immediately to KPK for earthquake victims.

In a statement here Tuesday, he said that 40 trucks were carrying 10,000 tents, 10,000 food hampers, 10,000 blankets and five trucks with 45,000 flour bags of 20 kg each.

He said that PDMA will continue to send relief goods to KPK government in this hour of distress, adding provincial ministers Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Ch Sher Ali and Commissioner Rawalpindi have handed over 50 trucks carrying first consignment of relief goods to Malakand and Peshawar administration.

He told that a mobile hospital unit and three medical teams will provide treatment facilities to the earthquake victims.

He said that six persons died due to earthquake in various cities of the province whereas 15 persons were injured severely while 92 persons with minor injury.

He said that two buildings in Kasur and Rawalpindi were damaged badly while 44 buildings were damaged partially.
