ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Germany Ms. Ina Lepal Tuesday called on Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Water and Power.
Areas of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of energy and defense came under discussion, said a press release.
Both the side agreed that Pakistan and Germany enjoy close and cordial relations, and have mutual consensus on regional and international issues.
In the meeting, the scheduled visit of Dr. Ursula von der leyen, Defence Minister of Germany to Pakistan also came under discussion.
The Minister said that he would warmly welcome his German counterpart and hoped that the visit would further strengthen bilateral relations.
Regarding the cooperation in energy sector, it was apprised that Germany has state of the art technology in renewable energies particularly solar and wind.
The Minister said Pakistan would get benefits from the experiences of Germany in order to tackle the energy crisis.
