CAIRO: Egypt's central bank sold 3.25 billion Egyptian pounds ($546 million) in domestic treasury bills on Sunday, paring 1.75 billion pounds from the amount it had offered, Egypt's Finance Ministry said.
The central bank sold 1.5 billion pounds of 91-day T-bills on behalf of the ministry at an average yield of 12.053 percent, up from 11.995 percent at last week's auction.
The bank also sold 1.75 billion pounds of 259-day T-bills, half of the amount it had offered, at an average yield of 12.991 percent, up from 12.912 percent at the last issue on Aug 16.
