LONDON: The Norway-Germany Europipe 1 gas pipeline resumed flowing gas on Tuesday following a planned 12-day outage, diverting significant supplies away from the UK market, according to traders and previous guidance from pipeline operator Gassco.
The pipe shut as a metering station on the German side underwent maintenance.
Gassco earlier said the pipeline was due to restart gas flows on September 5.
Norwegian exports to the UK via the Langeled pipeline, the main route for exports to the UK, more than halved overnight to 22 million cubic meters/day.
Flows through the Vesterled pipeline halved to 10 mcm/day.
