ISLAMABAD: Minister for Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojidin Aslov on Tuesday called on Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
Areas of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of energy and defense sector came under discussion.
They discussed regional and international security situation in detail, said a press release.
Both the sides agreed that peace in Afghanistan would lead to peace in the whole region.
Khawaja Asif also briefed about the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and hoped that this project would bring peace and prosperity in the region.
He apprised that work was in progress on Peshawar-Kabul Motorway via Torkham border, which would link the central Asian republics to the CPEC.
