NEW YORK: Juan Angel Napout, a FIFA vice president and former president of the South American football confederation, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in federal court in New York over his alleged role in the FIFA corruption scandal.
Napout, who was arrested in a dawn raid at a Swiss hotel earlier this month and extradited to the United States, pleaded not guilty to five charges of racketeering, conspiracy and corruption.
