BUCHAREST: Romania's trade deficit widened by more than a third to 7.19 billion euros ($7.85 billion) on the year in the first eleven months, the National Statistics Board said on Monday.
November's trade shortfall was 784 million euros, compared with 438 million euros in the same month of last year.
The statistics board said CIF (cost/insurance/freight) imports rose 7.2 percent to roughly 57.9 billion euros in January-November, while exports grew 4.1 percent to 50.7 billion euros.
