dengue-virusISLAMABAD: The Sri Lankan medical experts who are on visit of Punjab have said that the Dengue virus could not be overcome overnight and it will take days to get rid of it.

Meanwhile, the Health Department Punjab has disclosed that the number of people affected by Dengue virus has risen to about five thousand, a private news channel reported.

The virus has so far claimed nine lives. The Mujahid Force SP Captain Romail Asghar has also contracted Dengue fever.

According to report, about twenty two people have died. In Badin too, the virus has claimed the life of a female child.
