LAHORE: Member British Parliament Yasmin Qureshi met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here on Wednesday. She strongly condemned Gulshan Iqbal Park tragedy and expressed sympathies with the families of deceased persons.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said that Gulshan Iqbal Park incident was a cowardly act of brutal elements.
He said that Pakistani nation was determined to root out terrorists and their facilitators. He said that there was no room for terrorism, extremism and sectarianism in the Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam.
Shehbaz Sharif said that it was the mission of the government to make the country a haven of peace, tolerance and restraint.
He said that Gulshan Iqbal Park tragedy had once again united the nation for rooting out terrorism, adding that every effort would be made to stop bloodshed in Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam.
Member British Parliament Yasmin Qureshi assured full support to the Punjab government and the people in this hour of grief and distress.
