Shelling, snipers kill 4 civilians in Yemen capital

SANAA: Two women were shot dead by snipers in Sanaa's Change Square Thursday while two men were killed in shelling on the square as battles raged between Yemen's rival military units, medics and witnesses said.

"Two women and two men, all civilians, were killed in the clashes while nine others were wounded," a medic said.

Witnesses said the women were shot dead by snipers while the two males were killed by shells that smashed into Change Square, epicentre of massive anti-regime protests.
