FRANKFURT: German stocks were down more than 4.0 percent in late morning trading on Thursday, amid widespread nervousness and concern about the economic situation in Europe and the United States.
At around 11:30 am (0910 GMT), the blue-chip DAX 30 index was showing a loss of 4.14 percent at 5,209.51 points, with all shares in the red.
