Zong or in other words China Mobile Pakistan has toppled the competition by becoming the fastest Mobile data provider with a whooping 7.71 Mbps of average 3G speeds.
As per a survey conducted by the Pakistan telecommunication Authority (PTA) in country’s major cities of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar, Zong was the frontrunner with 7.71 Mbps of average 3G speeds on its network. Whereas, Mobilink's average 3G speed stood at 5.04 Mbps and speed of other two mobile operators Ufone and Telenor is averaging below 2 Mbps.
According to local media reports, the PATA’S Quality of Service (QoS) survey added that the average speed for Telenor's 3G network decreased from 2.2 Mbps during its previous QoS survey to 1.94 Mbps.
On the other hand, Ufone, Mobilink and Zong were able to increase their average speeds of their 3G networks since last survey conducted in 2015.
As per Signal Strength, PTA survey revealed that all 3G/4G operators are above benchmark, indicating good coverage in majority of covered areas. However, Zong here again took the top spot with 83.50(dBm). In network accessibility Zong got the lead again with 99.99%.
However, in Call Connection Time PTA was of the view that the performance of mobile operators in this area, remains unsatisfactory here Telenor stood out with the minimum time of 6.61 seconds.
Whereas, in call completion ratio Zong was again the topper with 99.07%, whereas, Mobilink and Ufone are below the required standard.
Coming to the SMS success rate, Zong outshone the rest with 100pc success rate, whereas, Mobilink and Warid were underperformers with 97.43pc and 98.40pc, respectively.
Lstly, End-to-End SMS Delivery Time is the time between sending a short message to a short message center and receiving the very same short message at intended mobile phone (receiver). As per PTA all mobile operators are meeting standard for End-to-End SMS Delivery Time.
Zong here also outstood over others with the minimum time of 3.66 seconds.
