HYDERABAD: Pakistan and Russia enjoy close and friendly relationship which was bolstered during the government of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto through projects like Pakistan Steel Mills.
These views were expressed by Sindh Culture Minister Sassi Palijo at the inauguration of 'Russia Today' photo exhibition organised by Russian Centre of Science and Culture in collaboration with Sindh Culture Department at Sindh Museum here on Saturday
The exhibition will remain open for a week.
The Minister said that the government of Pakistan Peoples Party was taking initiatives to take the relations between the two countries to new heights.
"Cultural exchanges and exhibitions are a part of the same policy," she added.
She said the photo exhibition will help the Pakistan youth in understanding Russian culture, people, traditions, civilization and society.
On the occasion, Russian Centre of Science and Culture organised a theatre performance titled 'Marriage Proposal' and 'De Bear'.
Additional Secretary Culture Syed Ashfaq Mosavi, Director Culture Dr Muhammad Ali Manjhi, Director Russian Centre of Science and Culture Sergeykuz Netsove and others were also present in the ceremony.
