thai-bathBANGKOK: Thailand's Finance Ministry plans to sell about 32 billion baht ($1 billion) of government bonds in the October-December quarter, which will be used just for debt restructuring, a ministry official said on Monday.

That compares with 125 billion baht announced for the July-September quarter.

Details of the bonds will be announced later on Monday, the official, who declined to be named, told Reuters.

The ministry has not planned government debt issues to help finance the budget deficit yet because it will have to wait until the new budget plan gets parliamentary approval, the official added.
