HONG KONG: Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks rose Tuesday, in line with a regional rally and following another healthy inflation report out of China.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 0.43 percent, or 85.87 points, to 20,242.68.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.02 percent, or 0.48 points, to 2,832.59 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.11 percent, or 2.07 points, to 1,802.27.
