CHESTER-LE-STREET: Sri Lanka were dismissed for 101 in reply to England's first innings 498 for nine declared, a deficit of 397 runs, and made to follow on on the third day of the second Test at the Riverside on Sunday.
Stuart Broad took four for 40 as Sri Lanka suffered their third collapse of the series after being bowled out for 91 and 119 in an innings and 88-run defeat in the first Test at Headingley last week. Sri Lanka, 91 for eight overnight, lost their final two first-innings wickets inside four overs on Sunday.
Lahiru Thirimanne (19) was the last man out when he skied James Anderson to Nick Compton at point. Victory in this match would see England take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
