FAISALABAD: Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that police culture will be changed by establishing front desks at police stations.
He was talking to media during his visit to front desk at Kotwali police station here on Monday.
He said front desks had been set up at 200 police stations across Punjab while more desks would be established at all police stations till December.
He said staff deputed at front desks was IT professionals who would enter complaints made by the people and same would forward to senior police officers for further process.
He said the aim at establishing front desks was to improve in investigation process as well as provision of police services to citizen adding that setting up a forensic lab was a step in this regard.
He said that under safe city project, cameras were being installed at Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi at a cost of Rs. 30 billion due to which monitoring of all cities would be possible at a control room.
To a question, he said, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would return homeland after treatment.
