The "Civic Reception" in the honour of the City Nazim Niamatullah Khan Advocate is a token of thanks by the business community and citizens of Karachi to acknowledge and appreciate the selfless services of the City Nazim for the development and welfare of the city - specially for pleading the case of Karachi before General Pervez Musharraf President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and getting approved 29 billion rupees worth "Karachi Development Programme", which is the biggest ever development package for the city.
