Cheap atta bags for needy

A total number of 126,000 of 20-kg atta bags priced at Rs 170 will be given to 63,000 needy families in Lahore. Each family will get two such bags under the scheme, initiated by provincial government, recently.
In the scheme, all Nazims of Lahore will provide lists of needy families to the DCO office, which in sequence will issue green card coupons.
The atta bags then would be available from all shops on presentation of these bags by needy families.
The proper supply of cheap Atta has commenced in the city from January 4.
