Lahorites experienced coldest day of the season on Sunday with mercury touching as low as 1.6 Celsius.
The minimum temperature in the provincial metropolis, which remained covered with thick fog like most other parts of the province fell by 4.2 degree centigrade to 1.6 degree centigrade from 6.0 degree centigrade on Saturday.
According to local met office, humidity rose to 100 percent at 1.00 am last night when visibility was reduced to 30 metre.
Weather pundits have forecast dry and hazy weather for central and southern Punjab, partly cloudy with chances of rain for upper Punjab and Northern Areas for next 24 hours.
According to airport sources, international flights, including three incoming and four outgoing were affected due to fogy weather.
PIA's flights coming from London and Damam by 5 and 6 hours landed behind schedule while Aero Asia's flight from Dubai suffered delay of over 10 hours due to foggy weather.
Similarly, PIA flights bound for Toronto, Frankfurt and Paris, which were scheduled to take off early morning departed in the afternoon after visibility improved, and Mashhed bound flight which was to depart at 12.30 suffered delay of over four hours.
Train schedule has also been badly affected with trains reaching much behind their scheduled time.
Awami Express was late by over 5 hours, Tezro by over 6 hours, Karakoram by 4 hours, Allama Iqbal Express by over 7 hours and Winter Express by about 5 hours.
