Libya is not even in a position to question the US demand of disarmament. Iraq has been practically taken over. Is Iran the next target? After Iran, hardly anyone would remain in the Arab World who could pose a threat to Israel's sovereignty.
Israel has as a result publicly displayed its fear of possible Iranian nuclear assets. For one of the qualities of the Zionist state is its ability to itself for the next situation, in the least possible time.
With the overthrow of the Baath party, Arab Nationalism has almost been defeated by the Zionists.
Zionist started their career somewhere in the mid of 1950's. They belonged to the community that knew that their very survival depended on their remaining together.
They came out of Hitler's Holocaust, in which 5 to 6 million Jews lost their lives. Yet they emerged, stronger then ever.
What made them invincible was their capability to stick together and follow cohesive strategies in line with their sole objective ie, to survive. An example of ' unity is strength'. Israel is not the name of a place, nation or country; it's the name of a struggle, the struggle to survive.
What could be Israel's next strategy is anybody's guess. But the Arab's are unfortunately a threat.
'Arab Nationalism', once the pride of the Arabs, is a threat to their individual, as well as, collective sovereignty. Arab Nationalism has been defeated as proved by recent events. Iraq was taken and no Arab nation had the strength to support it.
For Saddam, whatever he was, stood for being a guardian of the Arabs nations. Infact most Arab nations favoured the US attack on Iraq.
For they thought that America would attack, conquer and leave. Yet after the war US has been able to justify its fundamental right to stay and enjoy the spoils. It remains as a threat to other Arab Nations.
The Arabs did not realise that their own survival depended on the survival of Iraq. In other words a stronger Iraq was in the best interests of the Arab region.
Now that Iraq has fallen to the coalition forces, with Saddam arrested and humiliated, the obvious next move of the Libyan president Muammer Qaddafi was to disarm before he was made to by force. A move reflecting the greatest humiliation of the Arabs in their history. For Libya was one of the largest supporter of the Arab Nationalism. Muammer Qaddafi himself said.
"The times of Arab nationalism and unity are gone forever. These ideas which mobilised the masses are only a worthless currency". Arab Nationalism was no different from any other failed idea as history showed.
After Socialism, Arab Nationalism was worst the hit and most humiliated idea - an idea that was once created with pride, zeal and zest.
More Arab nation would, in the future, have to bend. They will face terrorism charges, their sovereignty would will be at stake.
Ultimately, they will have to accept Israel. Their existence would depend on their acceptance of Israel.
This is what Arab Nationalism seems to have achieved. It was rather Islam that gave Arabs prestige. But Arabs believe that the Arabs gave glory to Islam.
They have to change their thinking otherwise its wont be long before the whole Arab world comes under rule of the Zionist regime. It's only Islam that can give them back their lost pride.
