Quetta bound Chiltan Express collided with a tractor-trolley at an unmanned level crossing near Makhdoompur Pahura on Sunday. However, no casualty was reported. Railway police have registered a case against the tractor driver and searching him.
The train driver said that he pulled emergency brakes when he saw a tractor-trolley on the track and its driver had run away leaving it when he failed to pulled it out of level crossing.
The train driver further said that Chiltan Express was running with slow speed because it had to halt at Makhdoom Rashid railway station otherwise there would have been huge losses.
All type of traffic remained suspended for 10 hours at Chenab Bridge on Sunday because of breaking of the axle of a trailer. Five miles long queues of vehicles were witnessed on both side of the bridge.
A medical representative Taimoor Ahmed of Muzaffargarh was returning home with his bride and marriage party. They had to stay at the bridge for ten hours in chilling cold. They reached at home next day.
Newspapers also delayed due to blockage of the main road.
