A priest of a church of Khanewal Fr Mukhtar Masih son of Barkat Masih was shot dead by unidentified killer when he was going to railway booking office to proceed to Lahore. He received three bullet wounds on his body and died on the spot.
He had no enmity with anyone and he was equal popular among the Christian and Muslim majority in Khanewal district.
Police said that it is not a case of robbery because cash and necessary documents were found untouched in his pockets.
Justice & Peace Commission Chairperson Sr Noris Nawab has strongly condemned his murder and demanded to immediate arrest of killers.
